The growth explosion of Uvita

Visiting the Southern Zone of Costa Rica and not recognizing the explosive growth Uvita has been experiencing is next to impossible.

Formally known as the "sleepy little seaside village", Uvita has matured. Uvita now supports not only a larger population but also a vast array of shops and businesses. Uvita now has banks, supermarkets, furniture stores, fast food and more, these are just some of the new and exciting things going on in Uvita.

Over the years while most of the southern zone of Costa Rica awaited the paving of the Costanera from Quepos/Manuel Antonio, the exponential growth of Uvita flew under the radar. Most thought that Dominical would be the next big boom in real estate and commercial/residencial growth. Uvita proved otherwise and is now experiencing a growth slope so steep that it's leaving Dominical in the dust!

Along the highway through Uvita you will find all sorts of new buildings from the Rincon de Uvita sports centre to new strip malls and fast food joints. Many businesses looking to expand their market share have opened up shop in Uvita in order to get in early on a growth pattern that is sure to continue.
